Mental Health and PTSD Drug Awareness - DeKUT Nairobi Campus
"Health is no health without mental health." Mental health starts with you and me. Therefore, DeKUT Nairobi campus joined the rest of the world in commemorating PTSD awareness month.
DeKUT Nairobi Campus organized a talk on behalf of the campus, which was facilitated by Lucy Muigai– the university counsellor. The students were taught on how to detect when to see a doctor when a person has disturbing thoughts and feelings about a traumatic event for more than a month, and how to handle a person with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which is a mental health condition that’s triggered by a terrifying event either experiencing it or witnessing it.
